Correntics as part of the Adaptation Exchange initiative launching the Corporate Adaptation Toolbox
- Zurich, October 8, 2026
Climate adaptation is a key topic on many corporate agendas this year, but quite often it is challenging to quickly establish a good starting point for detailed assessments.
As part of a working group, we’re pleased to have contributed to the initiative to launch the Adaptation-Exchange’s new cross-industry Corporate Adaptation Toolbox.
The toolbox, launched yesterday at the Building Bridges Conference in Geneva, brings together three free tools for climate adaptation developed over nine months with contributions from more than 30 organisations:
- The Climate Resilience and Maturity Assessment helps businesses assess their preparedness for climate impacts.
- The Climate Adaptation Business Case quantifies how much a business can invest and what returns it can expect.
- The Adaptation Stack identifies which solutions match a business’s climate hazards and value chain.
Together, they form one pathway to resilience, and each tool works on its own, so businesses can start wherever they stand today.
«The great value of the tools is to get companies to look seriously and systematically at the risks across their operations and supply chains, building a more holistic picture that connects the dots between operations, finance, procurement and strategy. Then they start to see climate adaptation as an ongoing and increasingly important part of business strategy and financial planning, not just a set of compliance requirements.»
Daniel Schmitz-Remberg, Founder of the Adaptation Exchange
Correntics has contributed to Tool 1, the Climate Resilience and Maturity Assessment, together with other member organisations of the Adaptation Exchange. This tool provides a quick overview on how well companies are prepared for climate impacts through 27 questions across seven dimensions, from governance to value chain. It then provides a maturity profile, priority gaps and concrete next steps.
«As a solution provider, Tool 1 also serves as a possible entry point for us to start conversations about climate adaptation. We can use the insights from the Climate Resilience and Maturity Assessment to engage with corporates and support them throughout their adaptation journey.»
Michael Gloor, CEO of Correntics
A big thank you to all members of the Adaptation Exchange for leading this important work and making this collaboration possible. We’re grateful to be part of this initiative, contribute to the conversation around climate adaptation, and learn from other organisations.
