Sika partners with Correntics to strengthen its climate resilience
- Zurich, January 20, 2026
Correntics partners with Sika, a global leader in specialty chemicals for construction and industry, in a collaborative, multi-year partnership to strengthen the company’s understanding and management of physical climate-related risks across its global operations and supply chain.
By integrating Correntics’ climate risk analytics platform, Sika is expanding its in-house capabilities to assess, quantify, and manage climate risks using a forward-looking, science-based approach.
Understanding how climate change may affect manufacturing sites, assets, and operations over time is a key element of long-term resilience and operational risk management. The collaboration supports the assessment of acute and chronic climate hazards at site level and across regions, creating a consistent and transparent basis for strategic planning, risk management, and decision-making.
Strengthening climate risk management across operations
Physical climate risks are already affecting companies today and are becoming increasingly more relevant for industrial companies with global footprints. Access to granular, location-specific climate data allows to move beyond high-level assessments and develop a clearer view of where and how climate hazards may affect its operations. Effective climate-risk management is a long-term process, and Sika and Correntics are working together to implement an integrated, efficient, and continuously evolving assessment approach.
Correntics’ web-based platform supports climate scenario analysis and financial risk quantification, helping to transform climate data into insights that can be used across different business functions and regions. The resulting insights also support CSRD-aligned climate risk disclosures, embedded within a broader effort to integrate climate risk considerations into ongoing risk management and planning processes.
From climate data to site-specific insights
Correntics’ software and data solutions combine scientifically robust climate analytics with interactive dashboards, enabling a detailed analysis of location-specific exposure to a wide range of physical climate aspects, including temperature extremes, water-related issues, wind, and soil and gravitational hazards. The Correntics platform allows for aggregation of insights at regional and group level while maintaining the ability to conduct site-level deep dives where risks are most material.
Building on the initial assessment, the collaboration will continue to strengthen Sika’s climate resilience by focusing on areas such as adaptation planning, site-specific risk mitigation, supply-chain deep dives, and the joint development of additional analytical capabilities.
«Understanding physical climate risks is an important part of how we manage long-term operational resilience. Working closely with Correntics allows us to develop a more differentiated view of risks across our sites and to continuously integrate these insights into risk mitigation and decision-making.»
Clémence Coquet, Corporate Sustainability Manager & Controller at Sika
Supporting resilience and long-term value
As climate-related hazards intensify, companies across sectors are placing greater emphasis on systematic, data-driven climate risk management. The collaboration between Sika and Correntics illustrates how advanced climate risk analytics can support in-house expertise, site-level decisions, and long-term resilience, while also enabling consistent and credible climate-related disclosures.
«Effective climate adaptation requires continuous analysis and the implementation of adequate risk-management measures. Working with Sika shows how climate risk analytics can support both strategic resilience and practical, site-level risk mitigation over time.»
Michael Gloor, CEO of Correntics
